The club supports a number of area charities, retirement centers, civic activities and other community appeal groups. Primarily we support three area nonprofit groups:
1. Norman Food and Shelter where we have raised all the funding required to build a "CRC" tiny house in their next expansion. The club has always felt a civic obligation to assist unhoused people in getting off the streets and into a more structured environment. Recently, our focus is donating moeny to Food and Shelter's "Veteran Housing Fund", which works to find low cost places for unhoused Verterans to stay while they get back on their feet.
2. The Oklahoma Veteran Recreation Fund, which helps potentially isolated but housed veterans who have no known living family members and no known visitors at ANY VA center in the state. Our club is made up of many Veterans who served proudly, and feel an obligation to help others who also served our country. The funds are given to the Oklahoma Chaplin of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) who distributes the funds.
3. The Absentee-Shawnee Native American Children's Relief Fund providing protective and supportive services for children living on tribal land. The cRc partners with Thunderbird Casino for two major area car show annually, and this is their "go-to" charity of choice. We stand with them to help the children in any way possible.
